Shanklin is a popular seaside resort on the Isle of Wight, England, just south of Sandown on the south coast. The old village and the chine are its main attractions along with the sandy beach. The esplanade along the beach is occupied by hotels and restaurants for the most part, and is one of the most tourist-oriented parts of the town.
