Siegfried is the third of the four operas that comprise Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung), by Richard Wagner. It received its premiere at the Bayreuth Festspielhaus on 16 August 1876, as part of the first complete performance of The Ring.
Siegfried Schtauffen (シーグフリート"・シュタウフェン Shīgufurīdo Shutaufen) is a fictional character designed for the Soul Series of fighting games. Siegfried made his first appearance in Soul Edge and has returned for Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur III. He can also be seen in Soul Calibur II as an unlockable costume for his temporary alter-ego, Nightmare.
