A type of blood vessel lined with endothelial cells but having little or no wall. Found in several organs, including the liver.
Channels in a liver lobule that conduct blood and nutrients to the hepatocytes, similar to capillaries in other organs. Sinusoids are lined with Kupffer cells.
An extensive network of vessels that may be found in the liver, pancreas, spleen, and adrenal cortex, which are similar in structure to capillaries.
