In the Star Wars universe, a slicer is the term for a computer hacker in our universe. One "slices" into computer systems and messes around, either for personal delight or objectives. For example, the droid T3-M4 in the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords is a slicer.
