SmartMedia is a popular form of flash memory originally developed by Toshiba, and used in some digital cameras, portable digital music players, and other devices. SmartMedia cards are available in a range of storage capacities. Like other flash memory cards, they provide portable, durable, solid-state memory, have fast read/write speeds, and are supported by many manufacturers.
(less commonly known as an SSFDC or "Solid State Floppy Disk Card") A form of removable Flash RAM Memory card used in digital cameras and other handheld computer devices.
