Sparks is an American rock and pop music band formed in Los Angeles in 1970 by brothers Ron (keyboards) and Russell Mael (vocals). Best known for their quirky approach to song writing, Sparks' music is often accompanied by cutting and acerbic lyrics, and an idiosyncratic stage presence, typified in the contrast between Russell's wide-eyed hyperactive frontman antics and Ron's sedentary scowling.
"Sparks" is the fourth single from the Norwegian duo Röyksopp's first album Melody A.M..
"Sparks" is an instrumental by The Who, which originally featured on the album Tommy (1969). It was usually performed live as a medley with "Amazing Journey", but has also appeared as part of "My Generation" on the album Live at Leeds" (1970). The song also makes an early appearance as the middle section of the Who's 1967 track "Rael" on The Who Sell Out.
