A device that automatically collects condensate in a steam line and drains it away.
A device into which condensed steam from steam pipes, etc., is allowed to drain, and which automatically ejects without permitting the ejection of steam.
an automatic valve that releases condensed steam (condensate) from a steam space while preventing the loss of live steam. It also removes air and non-condensables from the steam space.
an automatic valve that purges or removes condensate from a steam distribution system while preventing the loss of steam
A device used to keep the steam out of the condensate line, while allowing the condensate to go through the trap to the condensate line.
A device for allowing the passage of condensate, or air and condensate, and preventing the passage of steam.
A device that allows condensate to pass due to a pressure differential whilst trapping steam in the appliance.
Apparatus that is used to drain water from a steam line while preventing steam from flowing through the trap.
The duty of a steam trap is to discharge condensate while not permitting the escape of live steam. A steam trap quite literally "purges" condensate, as well as air and other incondensible gases, out of the system, allowing steam to reach its destination in as dry a state/condition as possible to perform its task efficiently and economically.
