Definitions for "Subdial"
A small additional dial or indicator that may be positioned or placed off-center on the main dial, used for the display of various functions.
Also known as a register, the subdial(s) indicate seconds on watches with no sweeping second hand, or function as stopwatch timers, day-date indicators, day-night or moon phase displays.
A smaller dial within the face on a Chronograph to display other functions, such as the date.
