Chemical compounds that stimulate production or release of insulin by the beta cells in the pancreas and/or prevent release of glucose from the liver. They are used in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes.

Pills or capsules that people take to lower the level of glucose in the blood. These oral diabetic medications work to lower your blood glucose by making your pancreas produce more insulin.
