Summerland was an American television series which aired on the now defunct The WB. The series ran from June 1, 2004 to July 18, 2005.
Summerland, by Michael Chabon (The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, Wonder Boys, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh), is a fantasy about young children saving the world from evil by playing baseball, the central theme and symbol throughout the novel. Often touted as a Native American version of The Chronicles of Narnia, Summerland weaves elements of a World Series, parallel-universe road trip, and a hero's odyssey into a story read by both children and adults. Not only for baseball and Chabon fans, Summerland is a work from an author that is not known for fantasy stories.
