Supergirl is a fictional character, a DC Comics superheroine created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino as part of Superman mythos in the late 1950s. Several versions of Supergirl appear in comic books, but the best-known incarnation is Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin. Like her cousin, Kara is a Kryptonian who possesses superhuman abilities such as self propelled flight and superstrength.
Supergirl is a 1984 feature film. It stars Helen Slater in her first motion picture role in the title role of the DC Comics superheroine Supergirl and Faye Dunaway (who received top billing) as the primary villain, Selena. It was a spin-off from the popular 1978 movie Superman, with Marc Mc Clure reprising his role as Jimmy Olsen.

Originally broadcast between April 2, 1979 and March 17, 1980, lasting 51 episodes, the series featured an all-female cast, not unlike the earlier series Playgirl. Supergirl, however, was primarily based upon the American television series Charlie's Angels and the softcore pornography films produced by Nikkatsu.

"Supergirl" is a pop song recorded by Hilary Duff for her fourth album Most Wanted (2005). It is exclusive to the Collector's Edition of the album and was released as the third single in 2006 (see 2006 in music) in the United States. It was originally meant to be accompanied by a music video, and Duff told MTV News, "I would really love to do another video; I've never had three singles off an album before, and I had so much fun shooting 'Beat of My Heart', but just not yet.
