Swock is a contraction of S&W (the abbreviation for American arms manufacturer Smith & Wesson) and Glock (the Austrian arms manufacturer), and refers specifically to a pistol manufactured by S&W starting in the 1990s called the 'Sigma'. The Sigma, a polymer-framed pistol introduced after the Glock line of polymer-framed pistols, had so many similarities to the Glock when it was first brought to market that a number of their parts would reportedly interchange.
