Definitions for "Talairach"
Talairach is the coordinate system and space for the human brain defined in the book by Jean Talairach and Pierre Tournoux: Co-planar Stereotaxic Atlas of the Human Brain from 1988. It defines the origo at the anterior commisure and is the left/right axis with left being negative, is the posterior/anterior with posterior being negative, and is inferior/superior with inferior as negative. The so-called MNI-space is slightly different from the original Talairach space, - it is a bit larger. The coordinates in the Brede database is usually reported with reference to the original Talairach space.
