Tilottama (Sanskrit: तिलोत्तमा) in Hindu mythology is an Apsara. The name in Sanskrit is a compound word [Til (Sesame) + Uttama (better than)] and means "better than everyone else by at least as much as a sesame seed". She is reputed to have been created by Vishwakarma, at Brahma's request, by taking the best quality of everything as the ingredients.
