Torquay (IPA: ) is a town in Devon, England. It lies 26 kilometres (16 miles) south of Exeter along the A380 on the north of Torbay, and adjoins the neighbouring town of Paignton on the west of the bay. In the 19th century it became a fashionable seaside resort, renowned for its healthy climate it gained a nickname as the English Riviera.
Torquay was a parliamentary constituency in Devon, South West England, which returned one Member of Parliament to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
