Urinary Tract Infection - general term to describe infection of the urinary system.
urinary tract infection. an infection that occurs in the urinary tract; often caused by bacteria such as Escherichia coli. A urinary tract infection often causes frequent urination, pain, and burning when urinating, and blood in the urine.

Urinary Tract Infection. Bacterial invasion of the urinary tract, which includes bladder, bladder neck and urethra.
