Vertical Sync, synchronous signal which shows that the frame has been completely displayed on the monitor. V-Sync let's start the exchange between the primary buffer and the secondary one to display on the monitor the next frame. V-Sync corresponds to the vertical refresh frequency.
AKA Vertical synchronization. A marker in a video signal for the beginning of a frame.
