Hurray

The World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) commitment to lead the Web to its full potential, including promoting a high degree of usability for people with disabilities. WAI, in coordination with organizations around the world, pursues accessibility of the Web through five primary areas of work: technology, guidelines, tools, education and outreach, and research and development.

The Web Access Initiative (WAI) is a W3C initiative to improve the accessibility of the web. The WAI sets standards for web accessibility.

Web Accessibility Iniciative

People wai others as a greeting, to say "thank you" or just to pay respect. They do this by putting their hands together in a prayer-like gesture and raising them to about eye level. In Thailand we have a Wai Kru ceremony every year in schools and universities where the students honour their teachers.
