Certified Development Company. A Certified Development Company is a nonprofit corporation set up to contribute to the economic development of its community. Campus Development Committee. a 25 member committee composed of members of the campus community, including Deans of Faculties, members of faculty and the student body, and Vice-Presidents. The CDC has the responsibility of overseeing the preparation of the campus plan.

Non-profit groups accountable to local residents that engage in a wide range of physical, economic and human development activities. CDCs rebuild their communities through housing, commercial, job development and other activities. A CDC's mission is normally focused on serving the local needs of low- or moderate-income households. Resident control usually takes the form of board representation.

Community Development Committee. A Federation of CBOs that represent communities in local Government. These organizations focus on building livable, sustainable communities for their residents. CDCs are different in each community as they focus on specific needs of the community in which they are located.
