The old-fashioned method of shuffling the cards from hand to hand.
A fake shuffle whereby the magician splits the deck in two, holds one half in each hand, and then waves the hands over each other in a "hand jive" fashion.
This is the most common way of shuffling cards. One hand picks up the deck, holding it at the narrow ends, and the other hands thumb pulls cards off, generally in small Packets into its hand. The shuffle continues until all the cards are in the other hand and now in a different order.
A shuffle made by sliding cards from the top of the deck into the other hand.
A overhand shuffle is a common method of shuffling playing cards. It is considered to be a very easy shuffle, and when performed properly and repeatedly is considered a suitable means of assuring randomization.
