The physical commodity.
Usually refers to a cash market price for a physical commodity that is available for immediate delivery.
Commodity traded on the spot market, with the expectation that the buyer will take delivery; unlike a futures contract, which usually does not result in physical delivery.
A commodity that is traded with the expectation of actual delivery, as opposed to a commodity future that is usually not delivered.
