commercial activity within an individual's dwelling. Several approaches may be taken by municipalities attempting to define which home occupations are to be permitted and are least likely to have an adverse impact upon the residential neighborhood.

a business conducted in a residential dwelling unit that is incidental and subordinate to the primary residential use

a business conducted within the dwelling unit

a business or commercial activity conducted in your home

a commercial activity of the occupant of a dwelling clearly incidental, subordinate, and secondary to the use of the structure as a dwelling in a residential area, and that does not change the residential character of the site or buildings on the site

an accessory use by the occupant(s) of a dwelling unit in which goods are produced or traded, or services are rendered as an economic enterprise

an occupation or a business activity that does not bring customers or clients to your home or cause disruption to the residential character of your neighborhood

an occupation or profession practiced by a member of the family residing in the dwelling unit and which occupation is clearly an accessory use to the principal residential use of the dwelling unit

an occupation or profession which is carried on in a dwelling unit or structure accessory to a dwelling unit and which is clearly incidental and subordinate to the use of the lot for residential purposes

a permitted use in all the zones that permit dwelling units, subject to the provisions of this Subsection

An occupation, profession, activity, or use which is carried on entirely within and only by the occupants of a dwelling unit, which is incidental and subordinate to the dwelling use, does not have customers and/or clients regularly coming to the premises, and does not alter the exterior of the property or affect the residential character of the neighborhood.

A non-residential use conducted in a dwelling unit which is clearly incidental and subordinate to the use of the dwelling for residential purposes and which complies with all requirements of the Home Occupation section of the Zoning Ordinance.
