The Birthday Party was an Australian post punk rock group, active from 1977 to 1983.
The Birthday Party is the second play by Harold Pinter. Although it is now one of Pinter's best-known plays, The Birthday Party was a commercial and mostly critical failure when originally performed in the West End in 1958. After the play closed, however, Harold Hobson's review rescued its critical reputation, and it went on to become one of the classics of the modern stage and one of the most-frequently produced of Pinter's plays.
The Birthday Party was the first album by The Idle Race, a psychedelic/garage rock band, released in 1968 (see 1968 in music).
The Birthday Party is a 1985 video by Motörhead. It features the band's 10th anniversary show at the Hammersmith Odeon, London. During the performance of "Motörhead" all of the past members and Thin Lizzy bassist Phil Lynott joined the band onstage.
The Birthday Party is the second album and the third and final release by The Birthday Party under the name The Boys Next Door.
