William Reid, VC, (December 21, 1921 – November 28, 2001) was a Scottish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

William Reid (born 28 October 1958 in Glasgow, Scotland) was the guitarist for the Scottish alternative rock band, The Jesus and Mary Chain.

William Reid (6 Nov 1889 – 16 July 1965) was a Scottish Labour Party politician who served as Member of Parliament from 1950 to 1964.

Sir William Reid (1791-1858) was a British soldier, administrator, and meteorologist, born at Kinglassie, Fifeshire. He was educated at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, was commissioned lieutenant of engineers in 1809, and in 1810 joined Wellington's army at Lisbon. In 1815 he participated in Sir Edward Pakenham's unsuccessful attack on New Orleans and in 1835 commanded a brigade in the British Legion raised by the Queen Regent of Spain.

William Reid (born 1884, died 1964) was a Scottish international footballer and manager, who played as a striker.
