Sir David Mitchell (approx 1642 - 1 June 1710) was a Scottish admiral. He descended from "a family of good repute, more distinguished for integrity than for riches", and was apprenticed at 16 to the master of a trading vessel from Leith, Edinburgh.

David Mitchell (born April 23, 1982 in Ann Arbor, MI) is an American figure skater. He currently competes in the discipline of ice dance with partner Loren Galler-Rabinowitz. The pair won the bronze medal at the 2004 United States Figure Skating Championships but missed the following year's national championship due to Mitchell's shoulder injury.
