Unit of measurement used for web advertising; measures the number of unique people coming to a web site. Note: Every time a person leaves a site and comes back to the site, he is considered a unique visit.

Exactly how much time needs to elapse between visits in order to count as a new visit depends on the way the analysing software is configured.
