In a state of panic or behaving in a wild irrational manner, due to fear or emotional trauma.

Resembling hysteria; as, hysterical laughter.

Hysterical: one becomes hysterical when a specific Spiritual test and lesson takes place and one feels he or she does not have the mastery and power to deal with it or one tries to deal with it and loses his or her power and mastery in the process. This causes the subconscious mind and emotional body to take over, as well as the negative ego of course. When this happens in an extreme way this is called hysteria.
