Mind is the consciousness that is manifested in thought, emotion, perception and imagination, etc. In the human mechanism, the senses are superior to the body, superior to the senses is the mind, superior to the mind is the intllectual understanding; superior to the understanding is the Self/Atman. Whatever mind dwells on that's what it becomes. However, the Self can change the direction of the mind to whatever it wishes to achieve. That's why it is said that mind is your best friend and worst enemy as it is the way to the Infinity as well as to the finite. Direct it wherevere you aspire it to go and it will go there and become so. By so doing, a small mind can merge with the Big mind and it can be empowered to do wonders.
