An alternative format to Photo CD for consumers, allowing digitized photos to be stored on CD-R or special CD-PROM discs. Picture CD does not include as many resolutions or options as Photo CD, but is used for storing photos which have been scanned from film following processing.
A Kodak product and service, this is a CD-ROM of scanned photos made from 35mm or APS (ADVANTIX®) film. The CD includes the image of each photograph in varying levels of resolution and file size, as well as image editing software.
