The distal phalanx or toe of the forelimb, incorporated within the hoof.
(third phalanx) -- the major bone within the hoof; shaped like a miniature foot.
The third phalanx (P3). The major bone that is within the confines of the hoof. Also called the "pedal [PEE-dal] bone."
Small bone within the hoof. In severe cases of laminitis, this bone can detach and rotate, causing extreme lameness. See also Founder.
The bone inside the hoof closest to the ground; designated "P3."
