Environmental Protection Division, a branch of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Environmental product declaration. A description of the aspects and impacts of a product, system or service over its entire life, from raw material extraction, through manufacturing and use, to end-of-life disposal or recycling.

Environmental Product Declaration: type of product labeling. To avoid misleading labeling of the "dolphin-friendly" type, SCA favors specific product declarations, which are accurate, informative and clearly state their objective (Type 3 EPD). Also see Eco-labeling. As a principle, SCA is opposed to eco-labeling for packaging, as it could result in confusion with the product being packed.
