Monster is a 2003 film about the life of female serial killer Aileen Wuornos, a former prostitute who was executed in 2002 for killing seven men in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The role of Aileen Wuornos was played by South African actress Charlize Theron, and her lover Selby Walls was played by Christina Ricci. (Wuornos' lover's name was actually Tyria Moore, but her character's name, age, and appearance in the film were changed for legal reasons.)

Monster is a seinen anime and manga by Naoki Urasawa, serialized in Big Comic Original, published by Shogakukan, between 1994 and 2001, and reprinted in 18 tankōbon. Naoki Urasawa would later release Another Monster, a supplement book detailing the events from the manga as from an investigative reporter's point of view, published by Shogakukan in 2002. A 74 episode anime TV adaptation by Madhouse aired on NTV from April 07, 2004 to September 28, 2005.

Monster is and box set anthologizing David Thomas's solo career from the years 1981-1987, during which time his main vehicle, Pere Ubu, was inactive. In some cases, the albums included have been radically remixed and rearranged from their original forms. On its release in 1997, the box included a contemporary live disc entitled "Meadville" by Thomas' current group the Two Pale Boys; as of the current 2002 reissue, that disc has been excised, anticipating a future standalone release.
