Controls refer to the mechanisms that allow you to raise, lower, and tilt the blinds. Controls are usually cords or wands. You will be asked to specify which side the controls will be placed on. All 1 inch aluminum blinds come with wand control for the tilt, since the headrail size does not allow for a cord. There are optional systems available that make raising and lowering a heavy blind easier; see EasyRise, EasyUp, EasyGlide, Liftmaster.

A control is any mechanism used to raise, lower, open, close or tilt blinds and shades. Controls include cords, wands and chains. They may be placed on the right or left of the window treatment according to the customer's preference. (Please note: a wand is provided for tilt control on all 1" blinds, because the headrail size does not allow for the placement of a cord.)
