Medicare Modernization Act. the MMA is a new law that changes Medicare as well as lets you choose who provides your Medicare prescription drug benefits (beginning January 1, 2006).

Medicare Modernization Act. Signed into law in 2003, the MMA reformed the Medicare program to include a prescription drug benefit. It also closed some of the loopholes in the Hatch-Waxman Act that delayed access to affordable generic medicines.

Medicare Modernization and Improvement Act of 2003- Among other things the MMA established a prescription drug benefit to begin in 2006, and Medicare-approved discount card that began in 2004. It also included coverage for new preventative services that began in 2005.

Maximum Manageable Area

A Marine Managed Area is a marine or estuarine area along the California coast designated by the state to protect, conserve, or otherwise manage a variety of resources (e.g., living marine resources and their habitats, scenic views, water quality, recreational values, and cultural or geological resources) and their uses.

The Mobile Marketing Association is a voluntary organisation whose Code of Conduct covers the use of text messaging for marketing and CRM.

MIDI Manufacturers Association. A collective organization composed of Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) instrument manufacturers and MIDI software companies. The MMA works with the MIDI Standard Committee to maintain the MIDI specification.

Malaysian Medical Association

Money Market Account. An account that may be interest-bearing and is subject to limited negotiable order of withdrawal or by other means authorized by the bank. An example of an MMA offered by GMAC Bank is the GMAC Insured Savings account.

A high-yield savings account, FDIC insured, that allows depository financial institutions to be more competitive with money market mutual funds.

Money market account. Insured deposit accounts of very short maturity with rates determined by the market and accessible by withdrawal instrument. MMAs are limited to three share draft or check withdrawals per month, and a total of six remote withdrawals per month to avoid posting reserves.
