Definitions for "1930s nostalgia films"
Cycle of films taking place during the 1930s (or occasionally the 1920s) that was started by Bonnie and Clyde (1967) and lasted until the mid-1970s. Many of these films deal with topics originating in Bonnie and Clyde, such as the Great Depression and true crime figures, while others veer into different subjects, such as the Hollywood film industry of the era. This genre was also resurrected in the 2000s by O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Carnivàle.
