The 1977 Aeroflot Ilyushin 62 airplane crash was an Ilyushin 62M aircraft operated by Aeroflot as an international scheduled passenger that crashed near Havana, Cuba on May 27, killing 68 of the 70 on-board and one person on the ground. At the time the accident was the worst aviation accident in Cuba's history. It remains the second worst in Cuba's history.
