Abacast is a peer-to-peer audio and video streaming system developed in the early 2000s. It is maintained by Abacast Inc. as a paid-use system, with a variety of additional services for supporting "ad injection" and digital rights management. It is primarily deployed with Windows Media streams, but also supports Shoutcast.
