Abu al-Alahijah (d. 828) was a contemporary to Abu Nuwas. He was an Islamic poet famous for writing homilies. Critics have argued whether Abu al-Alahijah was indeed Muhammad al-Jamil al-Filastini, the late 8th and early 9th century poet most famous for writing The Change.
