King of Athens. When Androgeous was killed at the Olympics, Minos attacked Athens and as a condition of peace forced King Aegeus to annually submit seven youths and seven maidens to be thrust into the Labyrinth as food for the Minotaur.

In Greek mythology, Aegeus, also Aigeus, Aegeas or Aigeas, was the father of Theseus and an Athenian King. He was the son of Pandion II and a brother of Pallas, Nisos, and Lykos.

Aegeus (Nikos Aegeus) was a fictional character in the DC Comics universe. The character was a supervillain who fought Wonder Woman a few times in stories taking place before the Crisis on Infinite Earths.
