Aeschylus (Greek: Ασχύλος, IPA: or , 525 — 456 BCE) was a playwright of Ancient Greece. Often called the "Father of Tragedy"http://www.hyperhistory.com/online_n2/people_n2/persons1_n2/aeschylus.html, he is the earliest of the three Greek tragedians whose plays are not entirely lost, the others being Sophocles and Euripides.
