Definitions for "All India Poetry Society"
The All India Poetry Prize is awarded annually by the Poetry Society of India (Delhi) and the British Council. It is the most lucrative and prestigious poetry competition in India, with a first prize of Rs 20,000 and the publication of an anthology of shortlisted poems. All unpublished poems written in English can be entered at a nominal fee: the competition attracts about 5,000 entries per year from established as well as new poets.
