In Egyptian mythology, Am-heh was a creature from the underworld, whose name means "devourer of millions". He was depicted as a man with the head of a dog who lived in a lake of fire. He is sometimes confused with Ammit, another underworld creature who ate the hearts of dead who did not pass the scales of Ma'at.
