Prognostication by inspection of the entrails of victims slain sacrifice.
Also known as " Extispicium", " Splanchomancy", " Anthropomancy", " Haruspicy", " Hieroscopia", and " Hieroscopy", the divinatory practice of forecasting future events by interpreting patterns found in the entrails of sacrificial animals or the patterns of the flames in which the entrails of sacrifices were burnt as offerings to the gods.
