CDJ is intended to provide the functionality of a variable speed record deck to allow mixing with CDs. To mix with CDJ you will still need a seperate mixer. CDJ just replaces one record deck . At present, CDJ is not very polished and is still being developed but it does provide basic functionality i.e.
CDJ is a term used to describe a CD player which operates similarly to a turntable for the purposes of DJ-ing. Originally, the term referred to the CDJ100 by Pioneer Electronics, but the term has since undergone genericization to include any CD player plugged into an audio mixer for the purposes of DJ-ing.
