Exilarch (Aramaic: ריש גלותא Reish Galuta lit. "Head of the Exile") (Greek: Æchmalotarcha) refers to the leader of the Jews of the Babylonian exile. After the fall of the first Temple, the Greeks used the term to refer to the leader of the people.
