Haltemprice was a former urban district and currently refers to an area in the East Riding of Yorkshire, directly to the West of Hull. It comprises the villages, Anlaby, Cottingham, Hessle, Kirk Ella, Skidby, West Ella and Willerby.
Haltemprice (which from 1950-1955 was officialy known as Kingston upon Hull, Haltemprice) was a constituency in the East Riding of Yorkshire, which was a traditoional sub-division of the historic county of Yorkshire. It returned one Member of Parliament to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It was created for the 1950 general election, and abolished for the 1983 general election.
