Massimo is the name of a medieval Roman princely family of great antiquity, that claims descent from the ancient Maximi of republican Rome, asserting direct descendant from Quintus Fabius Maximus (c. 275 BC-203 BC), called Cunctator (the Delayer). The family claims to be the oldest noble family in Europe.
