Minmi, named for Minmi Crossing, Australia (where it was found), was a small species of ankylosaur that lived during the early Cretaceous Period, about 119 to 113 million years ago. Previously holding the record for the shortest dinosaur name, the title now goes to Mei, a carnivore from China. It appears to have been one of the more successful animals of its time, as more Minmi fossils have been discovered than any other single Australian dinosaur.

Minmi is a Japanese hip hop singer. She was born in Osaka on December 8th 1975.
