A special procedure programmed into a mob, short for 'mobile program'. Most of these procedures are triggered by players or even other mobs. The different types of mobprogs are too numerous to list here, but chances are that if you are fighting a mob and it talks to you or makes gestures, or a shopkeeper welcomes you to his store then you are seeing a mobprog.
