New York Independent System Operator. A regional transmission organization (RTO) that coordinates the generation and transmission of electric power in the state of New York.
New York Independent System Operator. The not-for-profit organization created to supply New York's electric power needs and to facilitate the power market equitably. NYISO oversees and manages New York's competitive electricity market and maintain equity among competitors and reliability of the State's power supply.
